Education, not medical care

I'm a voice teacher, not a doctor, laryngologist, or speech-language pathologist. In lessons, in classes, and on this site, I teach singing. I can't tell you what's medically wrong with your voice, I don't treat or cure any medical condition, and nothing I teach replaces an evaluation by a medical professional.

If you're recovering from a voice injury or surgery, I can help you work safely alongside your medical team, as part of their plan and never in place of it.

When to see a doctor

See a doctor before your next lesson if you have pain when you sing or speak, hoarseness or voice loss that doesn't clear up, or a sudden change in your voice. Stop any exercise that hurts, and tell me.

Articles and videos

I write the blog and make the videos for a general reader, so they don't account for your voice, your health, or your history. Try exercises gently and at your own risk, and stop if anything hurts.

Results

Testimonials on this site are real students describing their own experience. Your results will depend on your practice, your health, and your goals. I don't promise a particular outcome, such as a role, an audition, or a range.

Links to other websites are there for your convenience. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for what they say or do.
